The difference between Pityriasis Rosea and Ringworm.

I have this rashes in my skin that looks like rings and it starts only a few but spreads to my back, neck, legs, as time goes by. It looks like P Rosea and also looks like Ringworm. Ive been using antifungal creams but no effects. how can i know what disease i have?

Ringworm is a parasitic infection.

It doesn't matter though. A Ring shaped rash means its time to go to the doctor. You need to have this looked at immediately. It might be nothing at all, but a ring-shaped rash can also be much more serious than either disease you mentioned.

ringworm is easily treated and looks like circles raised and red and itchy,treated with lotrimin cream (vaginal yeast infection cream , whitch is athletes foot fungus cream and can be found any where !the trick is you have to continue the cream for three weeks even when the ring is gone !and it is contagious.now for the other ,it is a fine red rash that starts on the trunk and spreads out (like buck shot)all over the body ,and this bug is unknown except that it is thought to be viral and it will go away on its own,its not thought to be contagious.by the way ring worm is a fungus.both of these is know to effect people of all ages.

What is Ringworm And What Are The Symptoms?

My husband has a red circle, white in the middle, on his lower back. Is this ringworm and how do you get rid of it? I put antibiotic cream on it but it didn't seem to affect it.

CAUTION:you say you are applying the cream to your husband's back. Since Ringworm is contagious, make sure you wash your hands well afterward, and if you happen to touch parts of your body or someone else's, it's possible you have already spread it to there.

a ring worm isn't really a worm. It is a skin condition. It is very common, but I think in order to get rid of it you have to have a prescription. Your husband needs to see a doctor. Talk to your pharmacist first, just in case an over counter medication has been approved in the past few years. Good luck, also it may be itchy, and it's usually scaly like eczema.
